1973 Plymouth Duster

This is a photo of a car that I owned for 4 years and then sold to my brother, David. It is a 1973 Plymouth Duster. Under the hood was a .040 over 318 block with 9:1 flat top pistons, a purple shaft cam, double roller timing chain, and .10 under crossdrilled campered crank. The engine also had 340 2.02 heads with a three angle valve job, bronze guides and 340 adjustable rockers.

Above all that sat a 340 torquer intake with a reworked 650 Holley double pumper. Electronic ignition transferred the spark through Accel wires. The exhaust waste exited through Black Jack headers. The wheels were 15" x 8" and 15" x 6" Cragar SS with 50 and 70 series BFG tires. The transmission was a 727 with a 3200 stall converter and the rear and was a 8 ¾ with 3.23 gears.

The car was painted factory Butterscotch with all the chrome blacked out except the bumpers which were painted body color. I added a Direct Connection front spoiler and twin snorkle scoop which was totally functional. A B&M star shifter was adapted to the factory console. Autometer gauges were also used. This was a strong car and received a lot of attention. The car still resides in Regina, but has another owner.
