1974 Plymouth Duster

This is the way the my car came to be. It's a 1974 Plymouth Duster, license BAD A TUD (attitude). I purchased the car in 1985. What a basket case! A stock '74 Duster with a lawn chair interior. But we made the best of it. I replaced the stock wheels and tires with a set of aluminum slots and a set of radial side-winders. What an improvement!

Next came dual exhaust. Now it's getting cruiseable, but I'm still stuck with my lawn chair interior. Didn't take long though to fix that with some gold crushed velvet. That was great, so I finished it off by painting it. There now, it's done, I thought.

I was hit with a little craziness later on and decided to narrow the rearend. That was great - caught a lot of looks and it was that year that we had our first show. After that I knew more stuff needed to be changed so for the next few years I worked on it. Out came the stock 318 and in went the 383 with the tunnel ram and dual four barrels. Along with the new motor came a paint job. Something to add to the looks of Pro Street which is the class my car runs in. Every month a little more chrome, a little more paint, a job never done, but this is how it got to where it is.
