Owner: Ron Gadd
1970 Dodge Charger R/T SE

Greetings fellow Mopar freaks! My name is Ron Gadd. Along with my wife Iona, sons Robin and Ryan and my daughter Ronda, I own and operate a body shop and restoration facility in Moose Jaw called Thunder Creek Coach and Carriage. As well, we operate a grain farm near Roulea and raise cattle, hogs and sheep at Pasqua where we live. Iona works as a pay and benefits clerk for the federal government at CFB, Moose Jaw.

We must have a serious case of Dodge fever as our trucks are even Mopars. They include a D-300 Dually, Fargo 500 and a Dodge 600 T/A. We have a '59 Fargo Sweptside pickup as well. For those less informed, a sweptside pickup has tail fins like a Custom Royal, tail lights lie a Desoto and lots of chrome. Our cars are a '78 Newport Brougham 2dr, a '60 Desoto Adventurer 2dr hdtp (black), a '66 Charger (red), a '67 Charger (red), a '69 Superbee (lime green), a '70 Superbee (orange), plus the pride and joy of our fleet, a 1970 Charger R/T SE.

It's a Penta Magenta 440 six pack car with a 4 speed, white vinyl roof, super track pack, super handling package, plus all power equipment. This car was special ordered to Western Dodge in Moose Jaw in 1970.

As a teenager I was awed by that wild-looking and sounding car. This car was sold to a person in Regina in 1971 and remained with that person until Easter Sunday, 1988, when it finally became mine. It hadn't been licensed since 1975 and had been stored in a private garage so it had virtually dropped out of existance. Rumors persisted about it and on occasion it would be mentioned. It took almost four years to track it down, but it was well worth the wait. It not only looks and sounds awesome, but drives awesome as well. It's not comfortable or practical, but sure is fun. We were at the Red Deer meet with our '69 Bee in 1988 and are planning to have the Charger there this year. Hope to have seen you all there by the time this is in print.
