1971 Plymouth GTX
Hello, fellow members, my name is Kim Alexander. I was
disappointed to receive my newsletter with no profile in
it, so I decided to send in one of my father's car.
This 1971 Plymouth GTX RS23U1R______ is equipped with the
440 Super Commando engine with six pack internals, 727
slapstick, and an 8 3/4 rear end with 3.23 gears. All
numbers match on this 78,000 miles original, which was
purchased in 1972 for $3,300 with 18,000 miles.
We found
out it was sold new at Southside Plymouth Chrysler here
in Red Deer for approximately $6,000.
Some options include: In-Violet paint (Dodge called it
Plum Crazy) of which 105 were painted this color, white
canopy vinyl roof which supposedly wasn't available on
'71 GTX's front and rear spoilers (the rear spoiler being
body color - original) rare cloth seats, hood pins,
clock, rear defog, AM radio with rear speaker, full light
package, power steering, power disc brakes, variable
speed wipers, plus a few more.
